Although the manual only refers to the Thunder IA and IIA lead guitars and Thunder IA and III I'm afraid that the Westone is not the guitar for the latter category, but for Rock and Blues I have found the Thunder 1a to be almost ideal.

If the guitar were only to have the passive circuitry, then it would be only a mediocre instrument at best, having an uninspiring, muddy sound and low output. Looking for an operating manual?
